This innovative design, which recently won the Silver A' Home Appliances Design Award in 2022, is set to redefine the realm of home appliances with its unique features and advanced technology.

Derived from the need to reduce the risks associated with window cleaning, the Hobot2S was conceived to replace human efforts with a safer and more efficient robotic solution. Equipped with a high volume centrifugal pump, an auto adjustable pneumatic pad, edge leakage sensors, and a dual ultrasonic spray system, the Hobot2S is designed to adapt to frameless windows and glass of any thickness, providing efficient and safe cleaning.

What sets the Hobot2S apart from other window cleaning robots is its ability to restore the brightness and clarity of glass effortlessly with its dual ultrasonic spray system. The realization of the Hobot2S involved a multi-faceted integration of laser cutting, injection molding, tooling, in-mold decoration, software engineering, app coding, and elements from electronics, telecommunications, and mechanisms. The result is a square device with a vacuum, measuring 240 mm × 240 mm × 86 mm, equipped with a dual ultrasonic water spray, antifalling control algorithm, edge leakage sensors, rotating and zigzag cleaning patterns, and a creative voice that can be controlled remotely and via smartphone.

The Hobot2S was designed to be user-friendly. Users simply need to connect the power cords, attach the cleaning cloth, fill water, and press the start button. The robot operates in programmed routes, moving steadily by an auto-adjusted pneumatic pad, sensing window seals with edge leakage sensors, and dissolving stains with a dual spray system. Users can personalize the voice prompt and update the firmware via the HOBOT App, and are reminded to recharge every three months.

Developed in Taiwan, the project began in 2020 and is set to launch in the first half of 2021. The Hobot2S is the result of extensive research in kinetic modeling, calculation of friction factor, 3D modeling, mockup, and prototyping.
